Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape
In October 2014 the exposition “Colombian Coffee Cultural Landscape” took place at the premises of the Government of Flanders in Brussels. It was organized by the Embassy of Colombia, the Flemish Unesco Commission and the Flanders Department of Foreign Affairs, in the framework of a three day meeting at the beginning of the month in order to strengthen the economic, cultural and scientific ties between Flanders and Colombia.
The programme of the three day meeting was aimed at connecting Colombian experts with Flemish colleagues in the field of heritage and sustainable water management. Flemish experts and companies could on the other hand literally taste Colombia's sustainable coffee production and learn more about it.
On 2 October a workshop explored possible cooperation between the Unesco Chair for Eremology (UGhent) and the Colombian University of Santa Marta, more specifically in the field of fresh water management and oceanography.
