Exploring new cooperation with Switzerland

On 7 June, Minister-President Bourgeois received the Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs, Mrs Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch.

They discussed dual learning in their educational systems. In both countries, the dual learning systems are very successful and provide important added value for both education and business. Minister-president Bourgeois and State Secretary Ineichen-Fleisch decided to explore cooperation possibilities in this area.

Both Switzerland and Flanders invest massively in research & development and innovation. Here, too, the ministers decided to investigate further cooperation.

Minister-president Bourgeois also spoke about brexit and expressed his concerns. State Secretary Ineichen-Fleisch shared his concerns.
