Flanders, the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia launch a strategy for the chemical industry
Flanders, the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia will cooperate closely to further develop the chemical industry, which is strongly present in the regions. On 28 September, the three partners launched a joint strategy to keep the chemical sector attractive for new investments.
With a turnover of 180 billion euros accounting for 20% of the European chemical sector and more than 350.000 jobs in the chemical industry, Flanders, the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia are home to one of the world’s most powerful chemical clusters.
The cooperation with the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia is a priority of Flanders’ foreign policy.
