Flanders supports the "International Advisory Panel Ukraine", which is part of the "Immediate measures package" of the Council of Europe, which covers 5 themes: human rights, state reform, elections, capacity building and civil society.

The International Advisory Panel will investigate potential violations of European human rights in Ukraine following the pro-European anti-government protests of 30 November 2013 and the subsequent unconstitutional change of power that led to serious unrest in Crimea and the annexation by Russia.

The panel wishes to contribute to the recovery of confidence between the population and the authorities.
