On October 25, 2016, he first exhibition dedicated to James Ensor in London, "James Ensor: Exquisite Turbulence", opened   in the Royal Academy of Arts. The Flemish painter Luc Tuymans curated the exhibition. Most of the exhibited works came from the collections of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, Mu.ZEE Oostende and the Museum of Fine Arts of Ghent.
