Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is a member of Ecowas, the West African organisation for economic integration. In contrast to most other countries of the region, it has a Portuguese colonial history. West Africa has seen huge economic growth. There is potential for port development and a need for (modernisation of the) transport infrastructure. These are sectors in which Flemish companies excel and where cooperation with the Flemish ports can supply the necessary expertise, ensuring sustainable relationships.
