Members of Bundestag visit Flanders

On 19 and 20 October, a delegation of the German Parliament visited Flanders. In the Flemish Parliament, the delegation was welcomed by Chairman Jan Peumans. This was the first time that members of the German Bundestag visited our parliament. During a lunch with Flemish MPs, the group discussed various aspects of the German-Flemish cooperation, with special attention to mobility issues. The German Ambassador Rüdiger Lüdeking, also took part in the conversation.

During an long visit to the Port of Antwerp the delegation met with Mayor Bart De Wever and port ambassador Frank Geerkens. They also spoke extensively with the management of the Port of Antwerp on port development, logistics flows and the Iron Rhine.
