Minister Muyters visits Québec

From 11 till 13 May Minister Philippe Muyters visited Québec, Canada. On behalf of the Sport Council of the European Union, the minister participated at the Foundation Board Meeting of the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA.

In Montreal, Minister Muyters met with the Minister of Transport of Québec, Mr. Jean D’Amour, and with the Deputy Secretary General for Innovation, Mr. Jean Belzile. Due to their expertise on technology transfer, the minister visited Centech, an incubator at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS) and Optech, a centre specialized in optic fibers and glass fiber sensors.

The economic representative of Flanders in Québec (Flanders Investment and Trade) organized a lunch for the minister and Flemish entrepreneurs and scholars.

The 3-day programme was organized by the Flanders Department of Foreign Affairs, in close cooperation with the General Delegation of Québec in Brussels and the Economic Representative of Flanders in Québec.
