Minister-President Bourgeois visiting Luxembourg Prime Minister Bettel

On June 15th, Minister-President Bourgeois visited the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. He had a meeting with the Luxembourg Prime Minister Bettel. Both leaders exchanged views on the Flemish-Luxembourg relations and joint challenges. The Luxembourg Presidency of the EU was another important topic for discussion.

In the afternoon Minister-President Bourgeois paid a visit to the European Investment Bank. The reason for this visit was the agreement at EU level on the "European fund for strategic investments" (EFSI), and in particular the opportunities for concrete support from EFSI regarding Flemish projects and actors.

The visit is part of an active neighbourhood policy, implemented by the Government of Flanders. On previous occasions Minister-President Bourgeois visited the Prime Ministers of the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia.
