Minister for Culture, Media and Youth, Sven Gatz welcomed Nadine Girault, Minister of International Relations of Québec on the 12th of December in Brussels. The ministers agreed upon a new cooperation programme specifically aimed at young artists and youth theatre.
One of the project goals is to support cultural co-productions between Flemish and Québec artists and cultural organisations. This call for proposals is specifically addressed to the performing arts sector (dance, theater, circus,...) for young audiences in all its forms. Through this cooperation agreement, Minister Gatz and Girault emphasized the growing importance of culture in cross-border cooperation. Both Ministers are looking forward to future partnerships arising from this call.
On the same day, Minister Girault also had an appointment with the Minister-president Bourgeois. “I believe that CETA has the potential to create new economic opportunities for both regions,” said Nadine Girault.
The deadline for submitting the proposals is 15 January 2019.
