Launch Unesco publications on water security

  • October 23, 2018

Together with Unesco-IHP, General Representative Dries Willems organized an event for the launch of three publications on water security. These three key publications were developed through regional scientific cooperation focussing on the climate change impact on water security in different regions.

These publications are direct outcomes from the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) implemented projects on “The Impact of Glacier Retreat in the Andes: International Multidisciplinary Network for Adaptation Strategies” and “Addressing Water Security: Climate Impacts and Adaptation Responses in Africa, Asia and Latin America and Caribbean” supported by Flemish UNESCO Trust Fund for Science (FUST).

The International Hydrological Programme (IHP) is an international research programme devoted to water research, water resources management, education and capacity building.
