Philippines

The Philippines are an island Kingdom off the east coast of Asia. Spanish rule and subsequent American colonial administration has introduced many cultural influences there. It is largely Catholic, with a Muslim minority in the South. Along with its South East Asian neighbours, it forms the ASEAN, an organisation whose goal is economic, cultural and political cooperation within the region. In addition to trade relations, Flanders has good contacts in the region in the field of maritime cooperation.
