Three types of support are provided to 80 schools in primary and secondary education in all provinces of Flanders to realise sustainable and honest food in the school environment. In 15 schools a school food lab is set up based on a whole-school approach. In 60 schools a pathway is developed at class level and in 5 schools in vocational and technical secondary education an inter-class pathway is initiated. An online platform pools all the information and educational material.
MAAKBAAR Design voor een duurzame wereld

This project seeks to activate and raise the awareness of the design sector around socially, ecologically and economically sustainable design. Designers, students and professionals receive support to incorporate sustainability in the design and realisation of their products in a solutions-oriented manner. The project starts with a participatory thinking process in which examples and knowledge from the South, via the partner in the South, take centre stage. The end products are displayed to the public at large.
Food Waste: learning and acting together

The submitter and project partners aim to make a structural contribution to a more sustainable food system by challenging their rank and file as key target group to reduce food loss. To this end they organise several activities which not only focus on know-how and expertise, but also encourage people to take action. A broader public is reached with an integrated provision of awareness activities.
Youngsters for the SDG's

In this project youth groups from 8 municipalities are encouraged and supported to set up actions around a self-chosen theme associated with the SDGs. For this purpose, they work together with societal actors from the municipality. The local authorities are challenged to also take action.
PeaceCraft: Play to change

Young people from a reception centre for asylum seekers are the backbone of this project. They can share their stories in workshops, using creative methodologies. An interactive game is developed which allows players to experience what young refugees have actually been through. A participatory theatre performance is also created with their stories.

This project aims to establish a model in which consumers become active stakeholders in making the products offered in supermarkets more sustainable. Through various actions a dynamics is set in motion between consumers and retailers which ensures that supermarkets feel appreciated for their sustainability efforts and these efforts are also welcomed by consumers.
