Agreement establishing an association between the European Union and its Member States, on the one hand, and Central America on the other
Summary: The Parties agree that the objectives of this Agreement are mainly to strengthen and consolidate the relations between the Parties through an association based on three interdependent and fundamental parts: political dialogue, cooperation and trade, based on mutual respect, reciprocity and common interest. Political dialogue and cooperation agreement between the European Community and its member states, of the one parts, and the Republics of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama, of the other hand
Summary: The main aims of the agreement are to strengthen EU-Central American relations by developing political dialogue and reinforcing cooperation, and to create the conditions under which a feasible and mutually beneficial association agreement, including a free trade agreement, could be negotiated between the parties.
