Project: Bridging the Gap between Qualification and Quality Employment Beneficiary: Autonómia Foundation Amount: 14 months Duration: 25.000 euro The Hungarian foundation Autonómia aims to provide more opportunities for Roma youth on the labour market. The foundation will take the necessary actions to combat discrimination on the labour market.  As part of the project, the foundation will collaborate with the city of Ghent.

Project: 1917 - 2017 Flanders welcomes the bereaved Beneficiary: Westtoer apb Amount: 15.980 Euros Duration: 2017 For the important commemorative year 2017 Westtoer started the  project '1917 Total war in Flanders'. The main communication tool for the project in the targeted countries (Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany and the Netherlands) , is a social media designed promotional video.

Project:  Strengthening human rights, citizenship, intercultural and other standards in the curriculum of public education in Iraqi Kurdistan Beneficiary: Human Rights Office (OHCHR/UNAMI HRO) Amount: 114.017 euro Duration: 2016 Minister-president Bourgeois decided during his official visit to Iraqi Kurdistan in April 2016 to support the project "Human Rights Education in Schools". The goal of this project is to strengthen human rights, citizenship, intercultural and other standards in the curriculum of public education in Iraqi Kurdistan.

Project: The power of greenery in dark times Beneficiary: Koninklijke Maatschappij voor Landbouw en Plantkunde Amount: 108.716,13 euro Duration: April 2016 Having been hosted at Flanders Expo for 26 years, the Floralies return to the Ghent city centre at no fewer than four separate locations this edition. Flower and plant aficionados are sure to go from surprise to surprise this spring. The Floralies also feature a commemorative garden dedicated to the Great War Centenary, designed by ‘buro voor vrije ruimte’.

Project: Great War Centenary Car Routes Beneficiary: Westtoer apb Amount: 45.522 euro Duration: 2010 - 2014   On the occasion of the Great War Centenary commemoration, Westtoer has designed six new car routes around the theme of war. Since the autumn of 2012, you can explore the first WWI car route in the Westhoek. Project: The Fire of Leuven. Chronicle of a War Crime. Beneficiary: Fonk vzw Amount: 7.000 euros Duration: December 2013 - August 2014 In late August 1914, Leuven fell victim to blind war rage. Virtually the entire city centre was systematically destroyed by the German occupying forces.

Summary: Protocol No. 12 provides for a general prohibition of discrimination. The current non-discrimination provision of the European Convention on Human Rights is of a limited kind because it only prohibits discrimination in the enjoyment of one or the other rights guaranteed by the Convention. Project: Learning for Peace  Beneficiary: Flanders Peace Field vzw  Amount: 20.000 euro Duration: December 2013 - December 2014 Flanders Peace Field organization wants to set up a educational project to guide young people towards peace education, community building, empowerment and critical citizenship through the story of the Christmas ceasefires and football.  The history of WWI and its Christmas ceasefires, like the football story, is a way to make young people reflect on conflicts of today, about living together, about tolerance and diversity, on fair play on and off the football fiel

Project: international commemoration of the Third Battle of Ypres  Beneficiary: Society Passchendaele Society vzw  Amount: 140.000 euro Duration: July 2017 - November 2017 The project is based on the international commemoration of some dramatic historical moments of the Third Battle of Ypres on the particular day (exactly 100 years after the fact), knowingly places (Tyne Cot Cemetery, Crest Farm, Gravenstafel, Belle vue , Polygon Wood, Frezenberg ...) and (representatives of) countries, Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France and Germany.

Project: Grant fort the organisation of the Exhibition Ensor  Beneficiary: Royal Academy of Arts London Amount: 135.000 euro Duration: 2016 On October 25, 2016, he first exhibition dedicated to James Ensor in London, "James Ensor: Exquisite Turbulence", opened   in the Royal Academy of Arts. The Flemish painter Luc Tuymans curated the exhibition. Most of the exhibited works came from the collections of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, Mu.ZEE Oostende and the Museum of Fine Arts of Ghent.  

Project: 100 years Talbot House Beneficiary:  Talbot House vzw Amount: 97.909 euro Duration: 2015 In 2015, Talbot House, the British soldier club in Poperinge during the Great War, celebrates its 100th anniversary. Throughout the year, events and activities are organized both in Belgium and abroad.

Project: emergency aid for maalnourished children in South Soudan beneficiary: Plan België Amount: 100.000 euro Duration: March 2017 South Sudan is a very young country. In addition to the continuing civil war, it is also affected by long periods of drought. More than 3 million people are on the run. 5 million people in need. Plan België is active in South Sudan since 2006.

Project: demining the province of Gaza in Mozambique  Beneficiary: APOPO Duration: 2009-2013 Budget: 1.200.000 euro Each year, more than 15,000 people worldwide fall victim to anti-personnel mines. Most mines are found in sub-Saharan Africa.

Project: promoting the sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls, and the combat on violence against women Beneficiary: www.forumulher.org.mz Duration: 2013-2016 Budget: 340.000 euro At the end of September 2013, the Government of Flanders decided to contribute to this initiative. The aim of the project is to improve the human rights and gender situation in Mozambique. The project was part of a strategic plan of the umbrella organisation “Forum Mulher”.

Duration: 2015 Budget: 150.000 euro the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) offers the refugees education, health care, shelter, microfinancing and first aid, especially in war times.
